Starkville Housing Authority

Funded by the federal government, through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), public housing was established to provide safe, decent, affordable housing. The Starkville Housing Authority manages five developments for our family, elderly and disabled participants who meet the income limit guidelines set forth by HUD, not to exceed 30% of their gross adjusted income.

The mission of The Starkville Housing Authority is to provide quality, affordable, and safe housing to low to moderate-income families. Our goal is to:

  • Support residents in their efforts to gain self-sufficiency by providing them with resources to become homeowners
  • Continue to improve the quality of life for all residents through a suitable living environment free from discrimination
